Artist Bio As an adult I found myself in search of a way to express myself and put my feelings on paper. I was battling my mental health and needed an outlet. While working one day I was inspired to start pouring my feelings into paint. As a child I watched my mother work as a muralist and an artist and decided to start with something familiar. I found comfort in the way paint looks on canvas and how quickly the demons I was battling had a face and a name, easier to control now that they lived somewhere outside of my own mind. After that, painting became an outlet of all kinds. I grew into an artist who found comfort painting my feelings and making them visual. With time I decided to share my work with others. I want for my art to bring the admirer to their own conclusion, I want it to invoke feeling and comfort as it has for me. Understanding that art and emotion are deeply intertwined I started painting my views on society and telling a story of what I see around me. This is a world unlike one we have ever seen and I think it’s important to paint the emotion that is tangled deep within the threads of the struggles we all face as our new normal.
